Hello! My name is Jennifer Rogers and I am from Saint Joseph Missouri. I have been married to my husband, Leon Rogers for 7 yrs (together for 13) and the mother to 3 daughters, Chantel 21, Courtney 20, and Crystal 18. I have always been curious about the Spirit World, but never really took interest or started researching until I had my own personal experiences. In the Fall of 2010, we went and stayed with a friend of mine in a beautiful country home for a few mths, and those few mths change my way of how I looked at the paranormal. I began to hear and see things that I had no answers for. The shower would come on for no reason and when I heard it do this, I would go to check and it would stop with only water dripping from the shower head. One day when I was home alone, the doorbell started going off. Immediately after hearing this, I went to see who it was and no one there. None of these things really bothered me as much as the next experience that I had. I was home alone, in my bedroom, cleaning and listening to music and decided to go to the kitchen and get me a soda. As I enter back into my room, I was shocked to see my bed had been moved from it's original position. It was as if someone had pushed the foot of the bed about 5 feet. I didn't know what to do and the room felt colder. I wasn't reallu scared just in awe of what I had just seen. I left the room and went outside to gather my thoughts. Shortly after, my roommate returned home and I explained what had happen. She told me before I moved there that the house seemed strange to her. Weird noises, the smell of cologne for no reason and her Bobcat (yes, Bobcat) that lived in the house always stared at things that weren't there. We decided to go to the local library a few days later and research the house. We found out the land, where he house sit, was once an orphanage. It had a fire that broke out there, unknown if anyone parished in the fire. The town also had a great battle that occurred and some of it was fought on her land as well where many men lost their lives. From that point on, I was fascinated with the "other side" and knew this was something I wanted to further investigate and understand. |
